What Does CLRI(NSW) Do?


Provides experiences to invigorate, encourage and enthuse religious in their Gospel response to the signs of the times.

Organises regular meetings and an annual conference, as well as occasional seminars and workshops, to provide information and skills related to a broad range of ministry areas and to provide continuing formation in leadership.

Fosters research and publications on a variety of topics concerned with religious life, education and social justice.

Encourages members to support and assist one another in their role as leaders.

Promotes networking and collaboration as useful ways of working for the common good.

Creates and sustains structures for collaboration between congregations, between congregational leaders and bishops, between congregational leaders and church groups and between congregational leaders and the wider society.

Establishes committees, working groups and task forces which maximise the potential of the Conference to effect change, especially structural change, in the areas of social justice and education.

Supplies representatives of religious congregations and their ministries to state and national organisations.
