Catholic Social Services NSW/ACT is a Branch of Catholic Social Services Australia, the national peak body representing Catholic social welfare providers. We are seeking an experienced community services professional who is passionate about social justice and committed to making a difference.
The Executive Support Officer provides the Catholic Social Services NSW/ACT Executive with high level policy advice and support; supports member organisations to develop and implement best practice initiatives; and works with members, peak bodies, NGOs and governments to develop a fairer, more inclusive Australia.
To succeed in this role you will have excellent communication, inter-personal and project management skills, extensive knowledge of the community services sector, and the ability to develop and support networks and partnerships.

Financial Counsellor
Centacare Parramatta is seeking a qualified Financial Counsellor for the new outreach service based in Baulkham Hills. The position will be part time 14 hours (2 days) per week with some after hours work and the possibility of home visits where appropriate. This position will be part of a counselling service that provides Responsible Gambling Counselling, Relationship & Family Counselling and Financial Counselling.
The Hills Community Counselling outreach program is being established with funding from the Hills Community Fund. The position will initially be for a 12 month contract with the expectation that if the program is successful, funding will be extended.
Duties: "Financial Counsellors provide information, options, support and advocacy to enable clients to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to take control of their own financial situation"
Essentials:
• Eligibility for accreditation with Financial Counsellors Association of NSW

Project Worker - Mentoring Program (P/time 19hrs - 6 Mth Position)
CatholicCare has received an extension of funding for our mentoring project for children and young people 9-18 years of age in the Inner West and South West Sydney. This innovative program matches adult volunteers to children & young people, who are at risk of disengaging from education. The suitable applicant will join a team of staff, who coordinate out of home care support services as well as the mentoring project for children and young people and their families in the community.
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons with a passion and interest in working with children, young people, their families and volunteers in a supportive team environment. Caseworker -Permanent Family Placement Program
Out of Home Care
One Full Time 38 hours/week position (Seeking applicant avail. to start end of Oct/early Nov)
This program provides permanent out of home care placements for children between 0-12. The Caseworker's role is to be involved with the wider recruitment, training and assessment of foster carers, the transition and placement of children entering permanent care and the provision of support and supervision for these permanent foster care placements. The role also involves facilitating group activities with children in care across the foster care programs.
The team is seeking a motivated person who is a strong advocate and believes in promoting self efficacy, empowerment and resilience in our children and young people. This role can involve intensive family work requiring a high level of responsibility, accountability and commitment from the applicant. Parish Liason Worker
About the job: Centacare has created this new role to implement our "Working with the Parishes Strategy'. The strategy aims to bring together, wherever possible, the work of Centacare and the life of the Parish.
The primary goals of the role are:
