World Youth Day Careers Promotion

Careers in Catholic social services were promoted during the World Youth Day celebrations held in Sydney earlier this year.  Please see below for further information on working in the challenging and rewarding social services sector.

Work That Matters
  • Make a difference
  • Build relationships
  • Support people to transform their lives
  • Connect to people in your community
  • Create social change
  • Empower others
  • Fight poverty and disadvantage

A career in Catholic social services offers challenging work, flexible working hours, the opportunity to combine paid work with study, and lots of variety - no two days are ever the same.

Most people don't realise how many different careers are available in social services. You could become a social worker, youth worker, policy officer, Aboriginal liaison officer, case manager, counsellor, family support worker, child care worker, HR manager, ageing and disability worker, community development worker... the possibilities are endless.

Catholic Social Services Australia member organisations provide services to people in need in every diocese in Australia. Find out how you can make a difference in your community!

To find a Catholic agency near you, go to http://www.catholicsocialservices.org.au/services .

If you already work in social services, or are looking to make a career change, check out the recruitment opportunities currently available in Catholic Social Services Australia member organisations at the top of this page under CSSA Network Employment Opportunities.
